There is a moment when a woman decides she wants to be a mother.

The switch flips and suddenly she's on the internet asking questions.

Often the first questions are about food. What should I eat? What should I avoid? The bombardment of conflicting information can be overwhelming.

Torie's work as a nutritionist, along with her own difficult fertility journey, led her on a research path to bridge the gap between conventional (and often outdated) nutritional advice for pregnancy and an understanding of what our bodies truly require to thrive.

The US is suffering an infertility crisis. 1 in 8 couples need fertility support to conceive. 1 in 4 couples will experience a miscarriage. Torie digs into some of the reasons why and outlines realistic, pro-active strategies in nutrition and lifestyle to improve fertility.

Conventional "foods to avoid" guidelines leave pregnant women deficient in vital nutrients. In this book, Torie identifies key nutrients and ingredients for conception and pregnancy while debunking outdated food rules.

Then with her friend Eric (a James Beard Award-winning food photographer), they create simple and delicious recipes for you to use in your daily life. This book seeks to cut through the noise, replace fear with knowledge, and simplify your choices.

From whipping runny egg yolks into your spaghetti carbonara (choline!), to sneaking liver into your burgers (iron! B-vitamins! folate!), the dishes in this book will not only taste great but keep you, your baby, and the rest of your family nourished and thriving. You feel nauseous. You don't have time. Nothing sounds good. We get it. Illustrative, mouth-watering photos for every single recipe will help you find something to satisfy your craving (or lack thereof). QR codes will generate a shareable shopping list and the full text of the recipe that you can send to a loved one or your support network (all aboard the MealTrain!). No matter how you feel, or what your skills are in the kitchen, our recipes are simple and doable.

Here's a little teaser of the 100 recipes you'll find in the book.

Need a quick pick-me-up? Check out some of our snacks and beverages: deviled eggs with spicy "pickle de gallo," fancy-pants-ants on a log, homemade protein gummies, adrenal mocktails, and a frothy egg yolk London Fog. Want to put dinner on the table with only one dirty dish?

Check out mussels in curry, crispy bottom fried rice, and Italian white bean soup. How about a set-and-forget roast for tonight's dinner that becomes the foundation for three more meals? In this book we outline "prep pyramids:" like how leftovers from our fave roast chicken become chicken salad with dates, the leftover chicken bones become rich chicken broth, and the broth becomes tortilla soup.

Throughout the book we offer tips and strategies to take the stress out of putting delicious, nourishing food on the table. Whether you live to eat or eat to live - this book will work for you! Thank you for your support. A $40 pre-order gets us one step closer to making this book a reality. We are also super excited to share additional rewards from our supportive community.

Thank you for your support!
